CM, DyCM, others condoles Rev Dr Tsanso's demise

Dimapur, July 20 (MExN): Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, Deputy CM Y Patton and former Nagaland State ICRS chairman have mourned the demise of Rev Dr L Tsanso at the Naga Hospital, Kohima on July 19. He was serving as Executive Secretary of Lotha Baptist Church Association (LBCA) Wokha.

In a condolence message, Rio described Late Rev Dr Tsanso as “one of the most well known Christian leaders in Nagaland” and called him a learned theologian, a visionary church leader and a good preacher.

 During the last years of his tenure as Executive Secretary, he has carried out several improvements in the administrative set up and the physical infrastructure of the LBCA, Vankosung, Wokha, he added. 

Rev Dr Tsanso  demise a great loss for the Christian community of Nagaland in general, and for the Lotha community in particular, Rio said, adding: “May his devout Christian life and his good works continue to inspire present and future generation of Christians in Nagaland.” 

“I send my deepest condolences to the members of the bereaved family,” he added. 

In his condolences, Patton has said that  late Rev Dr Tsanso served the Lotha churches in different capacities before becoming the Executive Secretary of LBCA.

In his death, the Naga Christian fraternity has lost a senior Reverend whose absence will be felt, he said, further conveying condolences to the bereaved family and prayer for the departed to rest in eternal peace. 

Meanwhile, the former Chairman of the Nagaland State Branch of Indian Red Cross Society Povotso Lohe said that late Rev Dr L Tsanso gave his best service to the Society as the General Secretary of the Nagaland State Branch during 2006-2008.

He was very decent, humble, hardworking and thorough gentleman who served the Lord's Ministry in various responsibilities as a strong believer till his death, he said, adding that his sudden death had ‘caused a huge vacuum in our Naga Society which will be difficult to fill.’
