CM for emulating Gandhi’s ideals of peace and nonviolence

DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 1 (MExN): Nagaland State Chief Minister, TR Zeliang today issued a mesage on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, which falls on October 2, and said that Gandhi’s ideals “have always been a source of inspiration for all over the world.” “The great leader believed in the principles of non-violence, courage and truth, and played a major role in obtaining freedom from British slavery. He respected people of all religions including the Nagas who live together in harmony,” a press note from the CM stated. Zeliang said that Gandhi Jayanti is also an event when the world observes the ‘International Day of Non-Violence.’ “Let us pay tribute meaningfully by emulating his ideals of peace, patriotism, sacrifice and non-violence. Let his life be a message for us all to the change we wish to see in the country,” the Nagaland CM added.
