Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio on Tuesday stated that the new medical college in Mon would “go a long way in fulfilling the needs of the far flung district and neighbouring states like Arunachal Pradesh and Assam.” Taking to Twitter on September 15, the Chief Minister appreciated the Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare Harsh Vardhan and invited the latter to lay the foundation for the project. “On behalf of the Govt. of Nagaland, I cordially invite you to lay the foundation stone of the project. I look forward to your continued support and cooperation in implementing the project and all other initiatives of @HealthNagaland,” Rio tweeted. He sought the minister’s blessings and assistance for putting in place a Public Private Partnership (PPP) model for professional and efficient management of the project.
