CM-MOT Surgical Camp in Bhandari: 20+ surgeries, 53 OPD patients treated

Wokha, July 28 (MExN): As a part of Chief Minister Mobile Operation Theater (CM-MOT), a one-day free surgical medical camp was conducted at CHC Bhandari, Wokha on July 28.

In Bhandari Sub-division, more than 20 surgeries were carried out and 53 OPD patients registered. A medical team of six doctors led by MLA Dr Tseilhoutuo Rhütso and consisting two Laparoscopic surgeons, one general surgeon, an anaesthesiologist and a dentist, from private and Government sectors alike, provided facilities including ultrasound, X-ray, endoscopy, blood testing, and instruments for general surgeries and minimally  invasive surgeries.

Earlier, the inaugural programme on surgical camp was graced by MLA, Dr Tseilhoutuo Rhütsa as the chief guest, stated a DIPR report. Speaking at the event, he stated that CM-MOT is a state-led initiative launched on January 26, 2025 by Governor of Nagaland with a commitment to improve healthcare access in the rural and remote areas of the state.

Dr Rhütsa expressed gratitude to the visionary leader, the Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and further and stated that the mobile surgical camp has been great success, actively reaching various districts and delivering much needed health care services to the people across the district.

He also informed the communities to avail free Healthcare schemes like PMJAY and CMHIS.

Dr Rhütsa thanked MLA, Chairman SDPDB Bhandari & Chairman for Environment and Climate Change (NLA), Achumbemo Kikon for providing logistical support to the Medical team. He also thanked CHC staff Bhandari, ADC Bhandari, Deputy Commandant 7th NAP Bhandari and NGOs. 

Delivering vote of thanks, Additional Deputy Commissioner Bhandari, Longasen Lotha, extended his appreciation to medical team led by MLA, Dr Rhütsa for his service, tireless effort, and dedicated commitment in serving the underprivileged communities in regard to healthcare.

In the programme, a short speech was also delivered by David K, Lotha Bhandari Town Councillor and the programme was chaired by Dr Caroline T, SMO, CHC Bhandari.

During the past seven months, the CM-MOT team has successful performed over 500 surgeries in 17 different places across the district in Nagaland.
