CM to flag off Round 4 of INRC 2022 today in Kohima

‘Rally of Nagaland,’ the Round 4 of Blueband FMSCI Indian National Rally Championship 2022 will take place in Nagaland from January 12 to 14.

The FMSCI Indian National Rally Championship (INRC) is the premier rallying series in India run under the aegis of the Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India (FMSCI).

Nagaland Adventure Club (NAC) in partnership with Government of Nagaland will host this mega motor sports event for the first time in Nagaland.

The Championship will be held under the aegis of Federation of Motor Sports Club of India (FMSCI) with Blueband Sports as chief promoter.

The ceremonial start of the rally will be graced by Nagaland chief minister Neiphiu Rio on January 12.

During the programme, NAC convener Peter Rutsa will deliver welcome address while Blueband Sports chief promoter Premnath Kasinath will also exhort the gathering. 
 
80 drivers reach Kohima
NAC informed that 80 drivers and co-drivers across the country have already reached Kohima to compete in the Round 4 of INRC 2022 - Rally of Nagaland.

The championship will be held in two routes in Kohima district covering a route of 120 Kms - Jotsoma to Dzülekie NEC road on January 13 and Kohima bye-pass road connecting Indira Gandhi stadium on January 14. The rally will commence at 6: 00 AM on both days.

Some of the prominent riders - Gaurav Gill, Karna Kadur, Aditya Thakur, Fabid Ahmer and Chetan Shivram would also be participating in the championship.

NAC president Burakum Ao informed that for spectators to witness the event, ticket have been fixed at Rs. 2000 per car and they would be allocated particular space as the rally goes on the those routes.

Burakum said that NAC was established in 2010 to promote adventure and motor sports in the state.

The club felt elated today in achieving one of its dreams of being the first club in the state to bring a National event of the scale of National rally championship to the state which will be first of its kind for the people to witness, he said.
 
Traffic regulation for rally
In view of the Rally of Nagaland: Round 4 of Blueband FMSCI Indian National Rally Championship 2022, the office of the Superintendent of Police, Kohima has notified traffic regulation.

It stated that movement of vehicles will be restricted on the following routes on the dates and timing as indicated: January 13 (6:00 am to 4:00 pm) - Jotsoma to Khonoma; January 14 (6:00 am to 4:00 pm) - T Khel Model Village (bye pass road) to IG Stadium.

A release received here stated that alternative route to Khonoma village and vice versa on January 13 will be available via Khonoma - Mezoma – Dzudza bridge during the restriction period.  

All the concerned have been requested to bear with the inconvenience and extend co-operation for the success of the rally, the release added.

January 13: Special stage start: 6:00 am (Khonoma stage)
January 14: Special stage start: 6: 00 am (Kohima stage)
January 14: Podium ceremony: 4:00 pm (RCEMPA, Jotsoma)
