Kohima, September 30 (MExN): The 11th Triennial General Session of the Chakhesang Mothers’ Association (CMA) is all set to be held at Baptist Theological College (BTC) Square, T. Chikri, Pfutsero from October 9 to 10 under the theme “Transcending Motherhood Responsibility.”
Kewezü G. Kenye, Member of Parliament (MP), Rajya Sabha, Government of India and Neiba Kronu, Minister, Planning & Coordination, Land Revenue, Government of Nagaland will grace the session as the Inaugural Guest and Valedictory Guest respectively. Muzivolu T. Therie, Legal Advisor, CMA and Member Secretary, Nagaland State Legal Service Authority will exhort the gathering during the introductory session while, Reverend Dr. Yiepetso Wezah, Principal, BTC and Kekhwengulo Lea, President, Chakhesang Public Organization (CPO) will bring greetings during the two day session.
According to a press statement issued by CMA President Zaposhelü Venuh, the two day triennial session includes installation of new team of office bearers for the tenure 2018-2021, discussion hour, adoption of resolutions, observation of unit activity report, presentation of secretarial reports, presentation of indigenous and western songs, presidential address etc.
The statement informed that a sum of Rs 150/- shall be realized from every delegates as registration fee while every village unit is requested to send at least 10 delegates and asked to bring their own bedroll(s) and their own respective standard size flags.
The CMA conveyed its invitation to all Village Chairperson of Women Organizations, VDB Secretaries, women Pastors irrespective of denominations and all tribal frontal organizations to be part of the session. The CMA also directed all delegates to compulsorily wear traditional attire during the session.
