
Pfutsero, October 9 (MExN): The 11th Triennial General Session of the Chakhesang Mothers’ Association (CMA) introductory session got underway today here at Baptist Theological College (BTC), Square, T Chikri, Pfutsero under the theme, “Transcending Motherhood Responsibility.”
Muzivolu T Therie, Member Secretary, Nagaland State Legal Service Authority exhorting the gathering, emphasized on the need to be well prepared to face the challenges of the recent Supreme Court ruling on decriminalizing homosexuality.
Challenging upon the womenfolk to be vigilant over child trafficking and child pornography, she said, “With the advancement of technology such unhealthy inventions are posing a serious threats to the lives of the society and urged all mothers to observe a prayerful time for the family so as to let God heal the sufferings world.”
Dr Vekutulu Veyie, Vice Principal, BTC, in her greetings urged the mothers to give unflinching support to the CMA in all its pursuance so that together a good society can be built upon for the upcoming youngsters to harvest a brighter vision in manifolds.
“A humble mother is indeed a precious gifts from God where immense responsibilities to be shoulder upon are in the hands of the mothers,” she said.
Dr Veyie also asserted that women with humility can do a lot in shaping the society to have a better outlook and henceforth appeals all to live a humbler lives.
Earlier, she unfurled the Association flag and declared the session open.
The session was led by Nuyielu Shijo, Vice President CMA, Nukusalu Nienu, Women Pastor CMCC invoked God’s blessings, Neikope-u Kapfo, Joint Secretary CMA delivered a welcome note, Chokri Area Mothers Association enthralled the gathering with an indigenous song while Thipane, Women Pastor, Emanuel Baptist Church, Pfutsero pronounced the closing prayer.
The second day will be graced by Kewezu G. Kenye, MP, Rajya Sabha, Government of India and Neiba Kronu, Minister, Planning & Coordination, Land Revenue, Government of Nagaland as the Inaugural guest and valedictory guest respectively.
Meanwhile, the CMA has expressed deep pain over the loss of four lives from Leshemi Village in a vehicle accident yesterday along with several others being critically injured while all were on their way to their respective works.
The CMA while sharing pain and sorrow with the bereaved families prayed that the precious souls will rest in eternal peace and also wished the injured persons a speedy recovery.
