CMA 11th Triennial session concludes

Pfutsero, October 10 (MExN): The two days 11th Triennial general session of the Chakhesang Mothers’ Association (CMA) was successfully concluded on October 10 at the Baptist Theological College (BTC) Pfutsero. Kewezu G Kenye, Honourable MP, Rajya Sabha, Government of India and Neiba Kronu, Honourable Minister, Planning & Coordination, Land Revenue, Government of Nagaland graced the Inaugural and valedictory session respectively, a press release form CMA informed.  

Kewezu G Kenye, Honourable MP, Rajya Sabha, addressing the gathering in the inaugural session “stressed on the need to preserve the rich traditional and cultural values of the forefathers and urged mothers to educate their children with utmost efforts as part of promoting its cultural identity”.  

He added that mothers have a great responsibility to “build a better society and more meaningful way to live in” and “urged upon the mothers to initiate a humble responsibility by imparting the basic cultural and traditional values in the minds of the upcoming youngsters”.  

CMA President Zaposhelu Venuh delivered the Presidential address.  

Neiba Kronu, Honourable Minister, Planning & Coordination, Land Revenue, Government of Nagaland spoke on the important role played by women in around the globe in the valedictory session. Kronu said, “women are second to none” and further challenged the womenfolk to move forward with positive attitude.  

“Mothers have many roles to play to mould the fragmented society” and Kronu added “it should start at home with all humility in their approach”.  

The vote of thanks was pronounced by CMA Vice President Zhonelu Tunyi and the delegates departed for their respective home.
