Dimapur, April 18 (MExN): In view of the forthcoming NSF Annual Conference scheduled to be held at Pfutsero Town, the Chakhesang Mothers Association resolved to reaffirm its commitment to extend all possible helps to the administration in implementing Total Prohibition Act of the state. This was stated by CMA President, Kuthozulu Rose and CMA Secretary, Ngutsolu Kezo in a joint press statement.
“In order to create congenial atmosphere during the NSF conference being held from April 27 to 30 at Pfutsero Town, the CMA will do everything possible to stop free flow of foreign liquor and illegal drug trafficking in Phek District, particularly at Pfutsero Town,” the statement added.
The CMA requests the administration and particularly the law enforcing agencies and the police to strictly enforce the Prohibition Act in the greater interest of the students and the society in general and added that ‘the CMA will be compelled to take legal actions against the defaulters all in the interest of the society.’
This resolution was unanimously taken by the Chakhesang Mothers Association in its Executive meeting where all the 5 regional representatives were present on April 15, 2011 at Pfutsero Town. It also resolved to inform all concerned to pray for the peaceful situation especially during the ensuing NSF Conference.
