Longleng, October 29 (MExN): To strengthen the healthcare facilities and take healthcare to the doorstep of the public in rural areas, a Reproductive Child Health (RCH) Camp was conducted at Tamlu CHC, under Longleng district on October 29 initiated by the Office of the Chief Medical Officer (CMO_ along with the District Health Society (DHS) Longleng.

An update from the CMO Office stated that the health services and medicines were provided free of cost to all the beneficiaries availing the services for ongoing support for their health needs and family planning services were also made available for the eligible couples. The camp drew a substantial turnout from the community, with individuals spanning across various age groups, including children and elderly individuals availing the services provided.

During the camp a total of 90 beneficiaries availed free medical services. The service provided included 13 laparoscopic tubal ligation, 3 IUCD insertions, 8 Ultrasound scanning, 8 ANC under EPMSMA, 27 Paediatrics, 33 General OPT, 6 Immunization and eligible couples and lactating mothers received health talks (FGD) on Family Planning during the camp. Additionally, Family Planning Corner and IEC Corner were also set up and IEC pamphlets and leaflets, Condoms, Ezy pills and Mala-N were distributed to the attendees.

The Medical Team included Dr Imotemsu Medical Superintendent, DH Longleng, Dr Imtijungshi DPO (RCH/UIP), Dr Sanuzolu Jr Specialist Paediatrician DH Longleng, Dr Moingan Medical Officer, CHC Tamlu and alongside was dedicated field staff from CMO office, District Hospital, Longleng and CHC Tamlu rendered their services to the public.
