CMO Peren conducts district review meeting

Peren, September 9 (MExN): The Chief Medical Office, Peren District under the chairmanship of Dr. Ngangshimeren, CMO, Peren held the District Review Meeting on September 7 at Conference Hall, Chief Medical Office, Peren. The meeting was attended by District Programme Officers, Medical Officers, Health workers and District and Block Program Management Unit Staff, NHM.  

At the outset, CMO highlighted about the matters that were discussed during the District Planning Board meeting about the Medical Department and where corrected measures are needed to be improvised. He highlighted about the cleanliness of the health centers and that it is mandatory to put up citizen chart in all the health units. He also mentioned that the consolidated register RCH should be properly maintained and it should be upto date. He further highlighted about the Pre- conception and Pre-natal Diagnostic Techniques (Prohibition of Sex selection) Act 1994: stating about the code of conduct for appropriate authorities, guidelines concerning the District Advisory Committee and guidelines for inspection of facilities.  

Dr. Khrielasanuo, DPO RCH/UIP highlighted the immunization status in the District and gave a brief session on the schedule of immunization. She also highlighted about the importance of booster doze and hand washing. She stressed on the four key messages on Immunization and requested all the BPM’s to generate timely UID numbers to the respective Health workers. Resource person Dr. Sabino Kuotsu, District Nodal Officer, NTCP presented a power point presentation highlighting about the Tobacco Health Problem and the burdens of tobacco. The training for all the Medical Officers under Peren District on Tobacco Control is schedule on September 14. The next review meeting is fixed on October 5.
