DIMAPUR, MARCH 12 (MExN): The Chief Medical Office, Peren District under the chairmanship of Dr. Tiala, Dy. CMO held it’s District Review Meeting on the March 7 at the Conference Hall, Chief Medical Office, Peren.
A press note informed that the meeting was attended by the District Programme Officers, Medical Officers and Health workers from the Health Centers, District and Block Program Management Unit Staff, NHM.
At the outset, the Dy. CMO welcomed and expressed her appreciation to all members for attending the meeting. She stressed on the regularity of the staff and sincerely requested the staff to be in their place of posting for better service delivery. She also informed about the Health Mela which will be held on the March 16 at New Tesen Village at 9:00am. She urged all concerned staff’s to coordinate for the success of the program
Dr. Khrielasanuo, DPO RCH/UIP gave a comparative analysis on last year’s Jan IPPI 2016 and this year’s IPPI Jan 2017. She also highlighted the difference of complete immunization and full immunization stating that complete immunization includes booster doze whereas full immunization is only till measles.
She also informed that the 2nd Phase IPPI will be held on the April 2. She added that there will be four rounds of immunization in Mission Indradhanush starting from March 7 and on the 7th of every month till June 2017. She highlighted about the National Deworming Day which will be held on March 10 and 15.
Dr. Khrielasanuo also said that the Department of Social Welfare and School Education will be actively involved along with the Medical Department in carrying out the program and appealed all Health workers to give their full cooperation and support and to work sincerely. She further explained about the dosage of medicine Albendazole: children from 1 to below 2 years- half tablet (200mg), 2- 19 years- one tablet (400mg). Meanwhile, the next review meeting has been fixed for April 5.
