CMO Zunheboto district quarterly review meeting held

Zunheboto, August 11 (MExN): The Chief Medical Office, Zunheboto District held District Quarterly Review Meeting at CMO Office, Zunheboto on August 7.

Dr. CW Tungoe, CMO, Zunheboto in the keynote address stressed on the point that quarterly review meeting is very important for disseminating information, to update and communicate with one another. He encouraged all the health workers to work with dedication and sincerity.

He informed about the various issues that needs to be taken care of in respect of irregularities of staff, maintenance and facilities provided in the Health Units and urged everyone to be responsible.

Powerpoint presentation was given by DPO (RCH&UIP), DPM, NVBDCP, RNTCP, DAPCU & NHP on the performance of activities carried out. The presentation indicated various aspects of activities as well the targets and health indicators.

Rota Virus Vaccine (RVV) as part of routine immunization schedule under universal immunization programme in the district was launched by Dr CW Tungoe CMO, Zunheboto during the meeting.

During the meeting 2nd round National De-worming Day (NDD) was highlighted by Dr. Alemwabang Aier DPO, (RCH & UIP). He said all schools and Anganwadi centers will be the implementation sites on NDD, with the objective to improve the overall health, nutritional status, access to education and quality of life of children. This programme is for Children between 1-19 years of age where Albendazole chewable tablet will be provided. The programme will be conducted by AWWs/Teachers and also by the Medical Officers, RBSK team, Nurses and ASHAs of the district.

Dr K Akaho Sema, Dy CMO, Zunheboto motivated the staffs to work with sincerity, competitive spirit and dedication. He also told the participants to come up with fresh inputs, innovations and good practices. 

The meeting was attended by the CMO, Dy CMO, DPO (RCH & UIP), DTO-RNTCP, SMI- NVBDCP, SMO Aghunato CHC, MO I/c, DPM, DCM,BPM's, ASHA Co-ordinators, RBSK, MMU, IDSP, RNTCP, ASHA Co-ordinators and all vertical programmes staffs.
