CNBC extends support to FNR

A much needed statement indeed is the FNR’s “Across-the Board: Ipso facto” stating the Naga political history summarily and highlighting where have we reached in the journey of our common hope. For all who are sincerely concerned and are willing to think, it is food for thought.

Many are impatient. Comments were made: “The first peace mission half a century ago could not bring peace. Peace rallies failed. Peace walks and processions did not bring peace. The Naga Peace and Reconciliation Commission flopped prematurely. Many efforts went into the process already. Will football game bring peace and reconciliation?” the answer fairly lies in the above stated article which cannot be taken lightly.

Reconciliation implies the presence of differences which needs to be addressed with a view to arriving at a common conclusion or goal. The process in our case involves a blend of thoughts as may be seen even through the recent Naga Independence Day messages. Pragmatism, magnanimity and objectivity in the process can lead us forward. Our concern is that the first primarily important step be taken to address outstanding differences in the light of COR, allow the previously opposed views to converge unto the common political aspiration, and stand together with one voice in the unity of purpose in the bond of solidarity for the final settlement. The meeting at the highest level is of paramount importance, and it should be convened at the earliest possible time. It is not an easy road; the task is arduous but achievable. The CNBC is pleased to re-iterate that with the signing of the COR, the Naga reconciliation has already occurred and awaits for the completion of the jig-saw puzzle, the consummation of the Naga reconciliation. The seed germinates. The efforts of many years are beginning to take shape. The CNBC hereby express its full cooperation and un-equivocal support to the FNR in all its efforts and it is appeal to all Christian groups and denominations, local congregations and churches across the whole Naga areas and regions to organize prayer vigil positively.

The Spirit of God is active. With God nothing is impossible but all things have an endless new beginning and possibilities. All hearts and minds needs to yield to his will and wisdom. The Lord looks from heaven. This is our opportunity. The scripture says, “He fashions their hearts individually. He considers all their works” (Ps. 33:15). No efforts will go in vain. No prayer shall go unanswered. Lat all hearts and minds behold the overcoming wisdom and power of God. May God bless us.
