CNC to hold Naga National Prayer Day on Oct 25

Dimapur, October 5 (MExN): The Council of Nagalim Churches today informed that the Naga National Prayer Day will be held on October 15 under the theme, “Choose Life (Deuteronomy 30:19-20).

In this connection, a press release from the CNC General Secretary Rev Seksim Kasar has appealed “all the leaders of churches and non-Christian religious bodies to observe the day as Holy to the Lord and take up fervent prayers for the nation(s).

Some of the prayer points for the day included prayer for Indo-Naga Peace Process,  in particularly for “an honourable solution” as well as for Indian Prime Minister and Indian National Authorities.

It also called for prayer for Naga people (General Public) including leaders as well as each and every tribe/community and village.
The CNC also called for prayer of confession and repentance.

Pray for Collective Leadership and national leaders, including all national workers in civil set-ups including regional workers, Army Chief and all the Armies in units and frontline, and National political prisoners and victims and their families, it added. Any other prayer points can be added. 

As per the CNC, during the Prayer Summit of October 25, 2018 at Agri Expo, Chümoukedima, Christian leaders across the land of the Nagas expressed their wishes to have a Day of Prayer of the Naga Nation, and for this matter, CNC was entrusted to make it possible. Consequently, the CNC was able to obtained national recognition from the Naga National Assembly of May 31, 2022 and hence the Collective Leadership proclaimed designating the third Sunday of October every year as Naga National Prayer Day, it added.
