CNCCI demands inclusion of business communities in advisory bodies

Dimapur, May 31 (MExN): The Confederation of Nagaland Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CNCCI) has demanded that all the Ad-hoc Town Committee, Town Committee and Municipal Town Administrators take immediate steps to include representatives of business communities in their respective advisory bodies, as directed by the State Government order dated September 13, 2021.

“The CNCCI demands that as per the order all administrators should immediately induct all the Presidents of District Chamber of Commerce and Industry as Advisor to urban local bodies and solicit the advice of the member on matters pertaining to business activities and price fixation,” a press release from the CNCCI stated on Tuesday.

Further, the CNCCI directed all its confederates (DCCIs) to immediately have a thorough price review on all items and pass the benefit to the consumers, consequent upon the removal of intra-state and inter-state check gates. Stating that public hygiene, health and robust sanitation is essential in towns and cities, it also urged the state government to ensure that adequate steps and measures are taken to enable smooth functioning of ULBs for which the business community will give its full support.
