Dimapur, March 27 (MExN): The Central Nagaland Tribes Council (CNTC) has welcomed back Dr. SC Jamir who has returned home after completing his assigned role as Governor of Odisha.
“Dr. SC Jamir who is the only surviving member of the 16 Point Agreement is a living legend of Naga politics. Due to his extraordinary caliber and excellent statesmanship, he made a mark in every field of political territory he chartered through,” CNTC stated in a press release issued by its Media Cell.
The Council hoped that Jamir uses his wisdom and vast experience in bringing peace amongst the Nagas, a permanent solution acceptable to all sections of Naga people. Further, it wished him good health and long life.
The CNTC meanwhile expressed condolences on the demise of Saku Ao, who was one of the pioneers of Dimapur Town. “His service towards the citizens was noteworthy and will be always remembered,” it stated and prayed that the departed soul rest in peace and Almighty grant solace to the bereaved family.
