Dimapur, March 30 (MExN): Subsequent to the endorsement by the Nagaland GB Federation (NGBF) and the Eastern Nagaland People’s Organisation (ENPO) on March 9 and March 14 respectively for initiating a separate dialogue with the Working Group of NNPGs without any delay by the Government of India, the Central Nagaland Tribes Council (CNTC) has expressed its appreciation on the unity move by the five political groups who have formed the Working Group.
“Such coming together of our warring Naga brothers was the utmost long desired wish of the people of Nagaland and will surely pave the way towards better tomorrow,” a statement from the CNTC stated.
Stating that it has carefully observed the present political scenario and that it had thoroughly deliberated on the issue, the CNTC voiced its opinion in line with the NGBFs and the ENPO.
While maintaining the unique identity and historical facts of the Nagas, the CNTC insisted, “Any solution should be inclusive of all groups and unity should be first and foremost without any preconditions.”
“Any solution without unity and the knowledge of the people will invite only a social upheaval and further divide more the already fragmented Naga people,” it added.
