Wokha, April 30 (DIPR): A coordination meeting between officials of Nagaland and Assam held at ADC office, Bhandari has discussed various border issues.
The Deputy Commissioner of Golaghat assured to check harassment of Nagas and ensure safety for the Nagas travelling through Assam.
The meeting also agreed to activate the Border Peace Committee and conduct outreach programme, cultural exchange programme, and sports to create co-operation and peace for better understanding between the two States.
Both sides further agreed on transparency in sharing of information and co-operative mindset to solve the issues within the BM level/DC level without sending them to the higher authorities.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner and Superintendent of Police, Wokha, ADC Bhandari, SDO (C) Ralan, SDPO, EAC Bhandari and also DC and SP of Golaghat, Sector Commanders (Sector C & D).
