Mokokchung, October 17 (MExN): A co-ordination meeting of all officers and staff of various government departments under Longchem Administrative Circle along with Longchem Adhoc Town Committee and GBs was held on October 14 at Zulutemba Memorial Hall, Longchem HQ.
Chairing the meeting, Yapangmenla Jamir, EAC Longchem, called upon all the government servants posted at Longchem to be present at their posting place and perform their duties with utmost devotion.
Short speech was delivered by A Chuba Longkumer, Vice-Chairman, Longchem Adhoc Town Committee wherein he, on behalf of all the public, urged upon all the government servants to play a vital role in the development of the town. He also informed that surprise checking would be conducted by the committee and offices that are found shut would be reported to concerned higher authorities for necessary action, according to a press release.
Short speeches were also delivered by the members present in the meeting and the non-availability of government quarters and rented houses was also discussed, it added.
Short reports on staff strength and departmental activities were presented by the departments. It was also apprised to the members that there has been no replacement of Headmaster, GHS Longchem, Veterinary Asst Surgeon and JE (Power) ever since the transfer of the previous incumbents.
The departments also resolved to contribute financially to construct a waiting shed in Longchem as desired by the public. Over 80 government servants attended the meeting, the release stated.
