Giving a platform to the many civil service aspirants in the state, one of India’s leading coaching institutes, the Alternative Learning Systems, or ALS, today launched its centre in Dimapur. A brief programme was held during the launch with Rev Wati Kichu, Associate Pastor, Dimapur Ao Baptist Arogo, performing the dedicatory prayer.
Located near the SBI Main Branch, along the Kohima Road, the centre aims to impart new values and skills to those who have potential and are willing to face challenges. ALS employs satellite technology for real time classes thus enabling aspirants to learn from some of the best faculty while also making it possible for students to interact with professors. Speaking to The Morung Express, Imlinungla Molier, Proprietor, pointed out that Nagas spend a lot of money in Delhi and elsewhere to get IAS coaching. “Nagas do not have to go to Delhi anymore to get quality IAS coaching,” she insisted, adding that the fee in ALS Dimapur would be much cheaper in comparison to the fees for the same institute in Delhi besides getting the same facilities such as study materials, tests, faculties etc.
ALS Regional Manager, Imdong Anar, further informed that the centre would permit interested aspirants to attend free live class for one week where they can gauge the quality of classes and decide if they want to join the institute. The ALS Dimapur Centre has been initiated by the Impact Hub Society.
