
Meluri, October 11 (MExN): Around 170 farmers from different village on October 9 attended a one-day training on coffee plantation at panchayat Hall Meluri organised by the Department of Land Resources, Phek.
Levi Bennett, District Project Officer in his keynote address highlighted on the scope and benefits of engaging in coffee plantation. He also informed that the Land Resources Department has signed an MOU with South Africa and therefore the department can facilitate in the process of marketing.
Summing up the programme, Rhosietho Ngouri ADC, Meluri appreciated the department for conducting such training and urged the farmers to grab the opportunity and cooperate with the department.
Novise and Chosevoyi WDT, LRD Phek talked on the packages of practices and management of coffee plantation, followed by discussion and demonstration of coffee plantation.
