
DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 11 (MExN): Col Arvind Nautiyal took over as the 9th Principal of Sainik School Punglwa with effect from September 9. On his arrival, the Principal was welcomed by Lt Col Leena Bajaj, the Vice Principal on behalf of all officers, staff and cadets of the school.
Col Nautiyal, a native of Dehradun, was commissioned from the Indian Military Academy (IMA) Dehradun, into the Army Educational Corps (AEC) on December 8, 2001. He has various staff and instructional appointments to his credit.
The officer has served with Infantry Unit in the initial years of his service career. Thereafter he has tenanted the tenure of Staff Officer at the Formation Head Quarters including the one in the Recruiting Directorate of IHQ, MOD. He had a service of Instructional tenures, to include National Defence Academy (NDA), Khadakwasla, Pune and IMA Dehradun.
Col A Nautiyal, a decorated officer had a tenure as the Vice Principal at Sainik School Ambikapur in the past. Presently he is coming after tenanting a tenure of Chief Instructor from the Army Educational Corps Training College and Centre, Pachmarhi.
A press release from the school stated that with Col Nautiyal, “a visionary with vast experience in the field of education at the helm, Sainik School Punglwa, Nagaland stands to benefit in all aspects of development.”
