Collection and Aggregation Centre & FPO Office in Mkg

Mokokchung, March 16 (MExN): Dedication of Collection and Aggregation Centre and FPO Office under MOVCDNER was initiated by District Agriculture Office, Mokokchung on March 16. In a brief programme held at APMC Premises, Mokokchung Deputy District Agriculture Officer, Temsuienla during her keynote address encourage the organic farmers to work sincerely with all allegiance so as to achieve the goals government.  

It was stated in a press release that Temsuienla said that Mission Organic Value Chain Development for North Eastern Region’ (MOVCDNER) is a centrally sponsored scheme and was taken up by the Agriculture Department in order to enhance and promote organic food products of the state and also to bring about sustainable economic transformation among the local farmers. She said the department will facilitate the farmers to obtain Organic certification and also for value addition on various organic crops. She also highlighted the importance of Farmers Producer Organization (FPO) for the success of the organic farming.  

Senior Inspector Cooperative Societies Bisarila L. Sangtam gives a systematic overview of book keeping. She said that a society health depends on proper handling of cash register as it highlight all the details of inflow and outflow of cash in a transparent manner.  

Dedicatory prayer of newly allotted Collection and Aggregation centre & FPO Office was pronounced by N. Sobu Pongen, Pastor Mokokchung Baptist Church. The Program was chaired by Akangnungsang Jamir, Secretary Mokokchung Organic Farmers Cooperative Society Ltd (MOFCSL). Vote of thanks was proposed by Imtimar, Chairman MOFCSL.  

The first session was followed by Business session of the Mokokchung Organic Farmers Cooperative Society Ltd where agendas were discussed and resolutions were made for proper functioning of MOFCSL.
