College principals’ workshop concludes at NEISSR

Chümoukedima, March 24 (MExN): The valedictory function of the five-day National Workshop on Leadership and Development for college principals of Nagaland was organised on March 22 in NEISSR Hall.

Speaking on the occasion, chief guest, C Apok Jamir stressed on the importance to empower students with knowledge with mission to develop them and give right direction. 

The former Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha and former Member of Nagaland Legislative Assembly also dwelt on improving education and technological progress

Meanwhile, the guest of honour and Principal, Kohima College, Dr Vitsosie Vupru stressed on importance of higher education and the seven strategies, and encouraged all the principals to apply what they have learned during the workshop.

Prof Neeru Snehi, Professor Department of Higher and Professional Education (NIEPA) presented the report of five-days of workshop, followed by cultural dance performance by the students.

Dr T Alemla Longkumer, Principal, Mokokchung College of Teacher Education also shared her feedback on five days workshop while Prof Aarti Srivastava, Professor, Department of Higher and Professional Education, NIEPA shared her personal experiences.   
Certificate was distributed to all the participants by chief guest.

The function also featured a folk fusion dance by cultural club of North East Institute of Social Sciences and Research (NEISSR), songs as well as welcome address by NEISSR Principal, Dr Fr CP Anto.
