The Naga People’s Front (NPF) 20th Meluri Assembly Constituency has recently submitted a representation to the Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio for creating a separate commandant post for village guards of Pochury area in Meluri Sub Division of Phek district.
The representation signed by its president T. Kamsang and general secretary Nyurhusie and submitted to the latter during his maiden visit to Avangkhu International Trade Centre, stated that the Pochury consists 30 villages with total strength of 780 village guards. “However, we are functioning without commandant post.” It therefore made an appeal to Rio to look into the matter and allot commandant post for the same.
