KOHIMA, AUGUST 31 (MExN): Impressed by the work culture of people of the other states, the Committee on Public Undertaking, that toured three states of India-Rajasthan, Gujarat and Jammu and Kashmir called upon the people of Nagaland to be more sincere and dedicated in their works.
Torechu, MLA and COPU chairman, who led the four members tour team, said that Nagaland have equal potentials with the other states, but the sole reason of our slow progress is the lack of sincere and dedicated work culture.
“Nagas have easy life that’s why even if we have lot of potentials we cannot progress”, Torechu said, while maintaining that insincerity of the Nagas towards their works and profession is the main hurdles towards progress.
The members visited marble and granite factory in Rajasthan, Amulya factory in Gujarat and J&K to see the tourism industries.
At J & K, they were impressed by the way people maintained civic sense and sense of preserving the natural beauty, Torechu also said. Committee members included Torechu, Chairman, Medokul Sophie, Atomi, and H Chuba Chang. The COPU had the invited the industrialists and the sisters committee of the three states to visit Nagaland to see the viability of investment, Torechu said.
The committee may recommend to state government some of their findings for implementation to the state government.
