Kohima, December 16 (NNN): A cabinet meeting held last evening has constituted an official committee to study the issue of superannuation and also the number of government servants likely to retire once the length of service is enforced. Sources revealed that the cabinet had a thorough deliberation on the issue of superannuation raised by the apex students’ body, NSF demanding that the retirement age of Government servants should be determined through the maximum length of service of the employee. The cabinet also decided to constitute an official committee for a detailed study and find out the fact and figures including the number of people likely to be affected if the length of service is implemented. The committee has been directed to finish the task by January and submit the same to the cabinet by February.
