
Dimapur, March 21 (MExN): The Government of Nagaland has constituted a committee to consider and recommend cases received from various Departments pertaining to Persons with Benchmark Disabilities.
The committee will be headed by the Commissioner & Secretary, P&AR Department as Chairperson while the Commissioner & Secretaries of Social Welfare Department, Health and Family Welfare Department and the State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities are included as members, and the Secretary, P&AR Department as Member Secretary.
According to an update from the state DIPR on Tuesday, the terms of reference for the Committee would be to consider and recommend cases received from various Departments requesting exemption of various posts from the notified list of identified posts for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities. The Committee would also examine, consider, update the list of posts identified and earmarked for Persons with Benchmark Disability and inclusion of new abbreviations in the disability category.
The Committee shall meet biannually to consider and recommend such cases which may be referred to the Committee from time to time, it added.
