
Dimapur, June 25 (MExN): Mount Mary College and Mount Mary Higher Secondary School, Department of Psychology & Counselling, in collaboration with Life Square Church, Chümoukedima organised an initiative to provide free food and medical assistance to the underprivileged at Dimapur Railway Station.
‘As part of its commitment to social welfare, Mount Mary College joined hands with the members of the church to extend a helping hand to those in need. The Team provided counselling to the homeless,’ the college stated in a press release.
The event commenced with volunteers from Mount Mary College and the church setting up medical camp near the entrance of the railway station. A team of doctors, nurses, and medical staff conducted the health check-ups, provided Basic medical treatments, and distributed necessary medicines to the patients.
Simultaneously, a group of volunteers served meals to the attendees. A large number of individuals, including migrant workers, homeless people, and families from low-income background, availed themselves of the service provided.
