Resolve to rebuild and strengthen relationship as one family
DIMAPUR, APRIL 26 (MExN): A joint meeting of Sumi community, Purana Bazaar and Tangkhul community of Wungram colony was convened by Western Sumi Hoho and Tangkhul Hoho Dimapur at the Western Sumi Hoho office today at 2 pm. After serious deliberation by all members on the incident of April 22 at Wungram colony, the Tangkhul community of Wungram admitted the mistake committed by the Tangkhul boys to the Sumi boy and sought apology and forgiveness. Similarly, the Sumi community of Purana Bazaar also expressed profound and heartfelt regret to the huge damage done on Wungram colony and sought apology and forgiveness. After admitting and accepting the mistake and forgiveness of one another, the two communities in the presence of Western Sumi Hoho and Tangkhul Hoho Dimapur unanimously agreed on a three point resolution, stated a joint press statement issued by Hokiye Yepthomi, President WSH, S. Joseph, President Tangkhul Hoho, Sunny Hungyo, GB Wungram and Khenito Awomi GB Purana Bazaar.
It was resolved that both community (Sumis and Tangkhuls of Purana Bazaar and Wungram) leaders to forgive and forget of the unwanted incident and rebuilt and strengthen the relationship as one family. Further it was resolved that henceforth any nature of conflict and misunderstanding which arises in future between the two community, shall be settled by the two community leaders but should not at any cost communalize the issue. Lastly, it resolved that both the community appeal to the general public to desist from any anti-social activities that may hamper the fabric of Naga society.
