Competitions mark Hindi Pakhwara at ARTC&S

Dimapur, September 27 (MExN): The Assam Rifles Training Centre and School (ARTC&S) celebrated Hindi day of Hindi Pakhwara on September 14 by conducting several competitions. 


Competitions were conducted in Hindi typing, noting-drafting, essay writing, poem recitation and speech competition, which were held at Shokhuvi garrison from September 12 to 26.


Speaking on the occasion, a press release received stated that the Deputy Commandant stressed on the use of Hindi in official correspondence in accordance with the policy issued by the Government of India.  He highlighted the importance of the official language and appealed all the employees to work in Hindi and contribute their best to spread awareness on use of Rajbhasha Hindi as official language across the country.  


The event was chaired by Colonel  HP Singh, SM,  Deputy Commandant of ARTC & S which was followed by a prize distribution ceremony on September 24  by  2IC Rajesh Prasad, of ARTC & S.  No. 03 Training Battalion secured the highest marks and was adjudged the best team. Lushai Coy secured second position and No. 01 Training Battalion third position.
