Condolence messages

More organisation and individuals today mourned the death of Isak Chishi Swu, NSCN (IM) Chairman on June 28 in New Delhi. In messages, they extended condolences to the family of the deceased and prayed for peace for the departed soul.    

AYO: The Angami Youth Orgnization (AYO) today condoled Isak Chishi Swu's demise by richly acknowledging his contributions towards the Nagas' struggle for self determination and dignity. “Till the last resource of his strength truly and unwaveringly represented the Naga cause at all conditions and forums” the AYO said adding, “May the sacrifices of Swu inspire and guide the Nagas to come over their bickering differences to weaver on together to built a strong Naga nation.”    

ANCSF: The All Nagaland Co-Operative Societies Federation (ANCSF) in its condolence said Swu was a selfless and dedicated patriotic leader who sacrificed all his life for Naga Political cause.    

BSSD: The member of Bharat Sevashram Sangha Dimapur Branch has expressed its deep shock over the unexpected demise of Swu and shared its grief with his bereaved family members.    

CSCF Mkg: The Concerned Senior Citizens Forum of Mokokchung while mourning the demise of Late Isak Chishi Swu stated that his  departure from this world brings three important messages to the Nagas -  “fulfillment of qualification of a true Naga patriot from his lifelong unwavered and dedicated service rendered for the cause of the Naga movement for freedom based on clear Naga National political principle; the need for Naga National Unity through Reconciliation and Forgiveness for the cause of Naga Nation; and early accomplishment of Framework Agreement signed between the GOI and NSCN (IM).”    

NBS: The Nagaland Bhojpuri Samaj (NBS) has expressed its sadness over the unexpected demise of Swu and offered its heartfelt prayers of solace to his bereaved family members at their hour of grief.    

NSCA: The Nagaland Senior Citizens Association expressing its profound sadness over the demise of Isak Swu, President said he was an “unmatchable leader” whom it sincerely  salute  and honoured him for his exceptional positivity in executing the 3rd August "Frame Work Agreement" with the Government of India at the Prime Minister's level. Let all Nagas make the concerted efforts so that his labour is not wasted in vain but be able to enjoy the fruits by the up-coming generation in God's appointed time, it added.    

NPF Central Youth Wing: Expressing its shock over Swu’s demise, the NPF Central Youth Wing said he was a man respected by one and all and he was dynamic, humble and God’s commissioned leader who has sacrificed his everything for the Naga nation-for a better tomorrow.  We will always treasure your sacrificial deeds for building our Naga Nation thus far, it said.    

NPF Minority Wing:  NPF Minority Wing has also mourned Swu’s demise and said he was a “key person on historical framework of peace agreement on 3rd August,2015” and extended its deepest condolence to the bereaved family members.    

NTC: Extending its heartfelt condolence to the bereaved family of Lt. Isak Swu, the Naga Tribal Council said he was one of the tallest Naga leaders who had dedicated all his life for the cause of Naga aspiration. “May his legacy continue to guide our future destiny and ameliorate the Naga cause by generations to take us to the higher levels,” it added.    

PNU: Poumai Naga Union (PNU) the apex body of Poumai tribe expressing shock over the demise of Isak Chishi Swu stated that he was a true Naga patriot leader who defended for the cause of Naga nation his whole life with courage. “His sacrificed and dedication was an inspiration for the struggle of free Naga nation,” it said adding that Nagas has lost  a visionary and great leader at this crucial period.    

RSZ: Condoling the demise of Isak Swu, the Rengma Selo Zi  in a message stated "Asii your legacy shall live as we continue our struggle for self determination."    

Rengma Hoho Dimapur: Condoling Isak Chishi Swu's demise, the Rengma Hoho Dimapur unit stated that he was a “man of peace, a leader committed to unity of Nagas and in his death, Nagas have not only lost our conscience keeper but a dedicated and committed leader who epitomised sacrifice and selfless service not for himself or family but for the Naga nation.” May his death further spur the NSCN/GPRN to fulfill his legacy, it added.    

STYO: The Satoi Town Youth Organisation in its condolence message stated the tragic death of Isak Chishi Swu at this juncture of the Nagas crucial talk has left the vacuum not only to the Nagas but also to the entire North East.

TBAN: The Tangkhul Naga Baptist Association, Nagaland (TBAN) in its condolence message said in Swu’s demise, “we have lost a figure who whole-heartedly had dedicated his life to prove that a nation’s destiny is in the Lordship of Jesus Christ.” He epitomized a real Naga patriot and a prayerful man, it said adding amidst all adversities and diversities, Swu was unshakably convinced that all human solutions will be fulfilled in Christ.    

The Naga Women Soul Winners Ministry: Condoling Swu’s demise, The Naga Women Soul Winners Ministry, New Minister’s Hill, Kohima said that during its many interaction with him, he was found “to be a God-fearing leader, through whose maturity and wisdom had pacified many issues threatening our State.” Stating that his sole Mission in life, that is, to bring about bringing a solution to the Nagas, the ministry hoped that, “even though it has not been fulfilled in his time, we will be able to see his wish fulfilled someday.”    

Tovihoto Ayemi: MLA & Chairman NIDC Ltd Tovihoto Ayemi in his condolences message described Swu as a “leader of the highest calibre endowed with God fearing quality, pleasing personality and his undaunted efforts for peace and unity among the Nagas has drawn huge admiration of the populace.” “His struggles and sacrifices to assert the rights of the Naga people will go down richly in our people’s history,” he added.    

TNL: On behalf of the entire Tangkhul community, the Tangkhul Naga Long (TNL), expressed deep sense of despair and irreparable loss at the sudden demise Isak Chishi Swu at a crucial juncture when the entire Naga community awaits the final moment of triumph and jubilation. It further said that it was under his efficient leadership that our Naga political movement was rescued from perishing and our just cause has been taken forward very close to an honourable settlement.    

TSUD: The Tangkhul Students ' Union Dimapur while condoling Swu’s demise said that he stood firm to the cause of the Nation and has always stood for the rights of the Naga people. “We have lost a leader, a father, and a true comrade of the Naga's. His life struggle and the sacrifices made for the cause of the NAGA'S will be forever enshrined in our hearts.”    

WCSU: The Western Yimchungru Women Organisation (WYWO) today said Swu has left behind and ever stand united for peace and tranquility of the Nagas. Without dampening our hearts, let's join our hands till his majestic dream are fulfilled, WYWU added in its condolences.    

WDGBA: The Wokha District Gaon Bora Association (WDGBA) in a condolence message has described  Isak Chishi Swu as an important leader who sacrificed his entire life for the cause  of the Nagas. It mourned with the rest of the Naga nation at the passing of a true leader and a patriot.    

WSBAK: The Western Sumi Baptist Akukuhou Kuqhakulu (WSBAK) mourning Swu’s demise stated that he was a “God fearing leader and a man of prayer, a fatherly figure who had demonstrated a true patriotism by sacrificing his entire life for his people.”  His death is an irreplaceable loss to the Nagas in general and the Sumi in particular, it added.  

YTC: The Yimchungru Tribal Council (YTC), upholding the contribution of Late. Isak Chishi Swu towards the Naga Political struggle stated that his “sincerity, loyalty and undying attitude for the greater cause of Nagas to live in unity & peace, the concern for Nagas will always be cherished.” It also recollected his father Kushi whose initiated the gospel in its area and said, Swu took the footstep of his father as he was involved in building churches around the Eastern Naga Areas. “We look at him as the true leader of Nagas who took the Naga issue to International arena and not forgetting the talks with GOI for long lasting solution.”    

ZUF: Condoling the demise of Swu, Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF) said that Nagas has lost one of the most important warrior who stood for the cause of the Nagas rights and freedom. ZUF lamented in-reparable hollowness created by his demise and said his charismatic contribution and sacrifice during his lifetime working for his fellow countrymen will be cherished forever.
