Condolences for Gen (Retd) Kholi Konyak

Kohima, December 12 (MExN): TR Zeliang, Leader of Opposition extended condolence to the bereaved family members of Late Gen (Retd) Kholi Konyak who passed away on December 12 at New Delhi. In a condolence message, Zeliang stated that “his dedication to the cause of the Nagas and support for the Indo-Naga Peace talk as the only acceptable foundation for survival of the Naga people will be ever remembered” and his demise has created a vacuum.  

Y Patton, Deputy CM The Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton also condoled the demise of Late Gen (Retd) Kholi Konyak. In a condolence message, Patton stated that “Konyak dedicated his whole life to the call of Naga Nationalism for self-determination” and his “impeccable image as a true patriot and a Nationalist can never be erased from the minds of the people.” He extended condolences to the bereaved family on behalf of the State BJP legislators.  

NDPP The NDPP has condoled the demise of Late Gen (Retd) Kholi Konyak, the Vice Chairman of the NSCN (IM) at Delhi on December12 after a brief illness. The NDPP in a condolence message stated that he “dedicated his entire life in the service of the Naga Nation shouldering every responsibility given to him in humility and loyalty, delivering his best.” Chingwang Konyak, President of NDPP stated that “the Naga people mourn the passing of a great son of the soil” and extend condolence to the bereaved family on behalf of NDPP.  

DPON The Dimasa Public organization, Nagaland (DPON) has condoled the demise of Vice-President of the NSCN (IM) Late Gen (Retd) Kholi Konyak. In a condolence message, DPON stated that he “left behind an enormous legacy that needs to be followed by the younger generation” and expressed grief and sorrow along with his family members and the Nagas as a whole.
