
Dimapur, September 22 (MExN): Following the demise of Imtikumzuk Longkumer, Advisor Sericulture & Excise and former Deputy Speaker on September 22 in Apollo Hospital, New Delhi, several condolence messages have poured.
BJP Nagaland: Expressing grieve over the demise of late Imtikumzuk, the Bharatiya Janata Party, Nagaland in a condolence message issued by Temjen Imna Along, President, BJP Nagaland recollected him as “a God fearing leader and an ardent supporter in all aspects of social endeavour whose death has created a vacuum in the Naga political history.” “We have lost a great soul who’s untiring, selfless services rendered to the people of Nagaland shall be cherished forever,” the message added. While sharing condolences to the bereaved family, the BJP Nagaland prayed that the Almighty give solace in this hour of grief to them and further prayed that God would grant eternal peace and rest to the departed soul.
Ungma Senso Telongjem: The Ungma Senso Telongjem (UST), Mokokchung stated that it is shocked and sadden to hear the sudden demise of Imtikumzuk Longkumer who was “a very dynamic leader though very young at age.” Chubanungsang Imsong, General Secretary and Sangkong Jamir, Vice president on behalf of UST Mokokchung conveyed to the bereaved family that the UST Members are with them at this time of sadness and also prays that God our Almighty will give solace and strength.
TR Zeliang: “Feeling absolutely distraught to learn about the demise of Imtikumzuk, MLA from Aonglenden constituency in Mokokchung District, a very simple man, I had the pleasure to work with him. He was a man who had a very positive outlook towards life. In his untimely demise, we have lost a good soul,” TR Zeliang stated in a condolence message. Zeliang also recollected his association with the departed soul saying, “I relish the memory of Imtikumzuk who launched my social media pages that I have today. Grateful for all that he had done and may his memory continue to live in us. I extend my deepest condolences to his wife Imkongzenla and Children and all bereaved family members. May his soul Rest in Peace.”
NPP Nagaland: NPP Nagaland Unit said that it is deeply saddened to hear the news of the demise of Imtikumzuk who was “a valuable and a highly respected person of a great character and his untimely death will be a great loss for the state.” The NPP State Unit extended their heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and pray that the Almighty give comfort and solace as the departed soul makes his restful journey.
W. Wangyuh Konyak: W. Wangyuh Konyak Ex- MP has also expressed extreme shock to learn about the demise. “I personally saw him as an active and energetic in his duties while assigned as PS to Dr. S.C. Jamir. He was as dynamic even before joining active politics and one capable young and upcoming politician. His death is a great loss to the Naga people in general and particularly his constituent's,” Wangyuh satted in a press note. “My family and I convey our deepest condolences to the bereaved family. May his soul rest in peace,” he also prayed.
KG Kenye, MP (RS): Grieving the demise of late Imtikumzuk, a condolence message from Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) KG Kenye said that with his departure, the Aonglenden A/C in particular and the Nagas in general have lost a fine leader. Kenye conveyed his deepest condolence to the bereaved family members and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.
CM Chang: Minister Environment, Forest & Climate Change, Parliamentary Affairs, CM Chang mourned the demise of late lmtikumzuk stating that he was a dedicated and sincere elected member with admirable charisma who has served the State as the Deputy Speaker in the last 12th Nagaland State Legislative Assembly. “It is a great lost to the people of Nagaland, particularly to the Ao community. I extend my deepest condolence to the bereaved family. I pray that his Soul rest in eternal peace,” Chang added in the note.
