Dimapur, July 9 (MExN): The Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC)’s protest against the hike in fuel prices in the State entered the third day on July 9.
The protest on day three was marked by a series of signature campaign led by NPCC office bearers, frontal organizations and party workers of Dimapur District Congress Committee and its frontal organizations.
Party workers were deployed at 10 different fuel stations where a banner demanding rollback of petrol and diesel prices was put up for drivers and public to put their signatures below the heading, the NPCC informed.
It appreciated the ‘enthusiastic response’ of the vehicle drivers and public towards the campaign.
Meanwhile, the NPCC reminded the public, especially the youth that as the agitation campaign rolls on, online signature link has been created and circulated on social media platforms.
“The response has so far been encouraging and keeping in view the current COVID-19 guidelines, we request the public to use this medium to lend their voice and support for rollback of high fuel prices that has become a huge burden for majority of the population struggling to survive during this pandemic lockdown,” it added.
