NPCC seeks response from NPF on Imchen’s statement
DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 28 (MExN): The Opposition Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) has asked the NPF senior leaders to clarify as to whether Imkong L. Imchen’s statement on JLF resolution was of his own or the NPF’s stand. “Should the NPF fail to give a satisfactory response, the CLP would have no option than to part ways (from JLF) and go our own way in which, Imkong L. Imchen and NPF will be held solely responsible for any negative fall-out”, stated a press note issued by the NPCC.
Stating that the Congress was committed in its effort to find an honorable solution and if all the 60 legislators agree, the Congress legislators (MLAs) are even prepared to resign to prove their sincerity and seriousness, the NPCC wanted to know if the NPF legislators are prepared to resign. The Congress has dared the NPF to prove its sincerity and seriousness.
The NPCC stated that if such is the attitude of the NPF’s senior functionaries like the Home Minister, it is more than clear that “JLF and its resolution was the NPF’s political game-plan to wrest power in 2013 election”. The NPCC questioned the silence of the NPF over what it described as the “loose statement of Imkong L. Imchen on JLF resolution which will have far-reaching political ramifications”.
