Kohima, October 30 (MExN): The Congress Party has announced the formation of the Village Congress Committee (VCC) in Kiding Village, under the 52 Longkhim-Chare Assembly Constituency, Tuensang, on October 29. This development highlights Congress’s commitment to serving the people at the grassroots level and fostering progress within the community, the party stated in a press release.

In his welcome address, M Tinglise, VCC President, emphasized the importance of the gathering for the village’s future and Congress’s local presence. The Village Council Chairman, Chemlongse, also expressed appreciation for the Congress Party's dedication to grassroots engagement, noting that it reflects the party's genuine commitment to its people, the release said. He observed that the current political instability at the central level presents an opportunity for Congress, anticipating the party’s return to power soon, it added.

Speeches by Chotsase, President of the District Congress Committee (DCC), Tuensang, and Tsipongchem, DCC Vice President, reinforced Congress's dedication to community development and growth. Head Gaon Bura (GB) Holingsing also addressed the gathering, and the event concluded with a communal benediction and lunch.
