Wokha, September 16 (MExN): The District Congress Committee (DCC) Wokha of Indian National Congress and all its frontals have condemned the informer(s) “who misguided 28th Assam Rifles Wokha” resulting in the arrest of Mhondamo Shitiri, President of the District Youth Congress (Wokha) in the wee hour of September 10.
The Congress party in a press release issued by K. Yisanbemo Kikon, Vice President, DCC Wokha and Limhathung Odyuo, Vice President, 37th ACCC testified that Mhondamo Shitiri is not only the District Youth Congress President but also “a senior dedicated party worker and a renowned social worker.”
While appreciating the good gesture of the Armed Forces in setting free the captive unharmed, the Congress suggested to the Assam Rifles to be more cautious in near future in taking such kind of action.
Meanwhile, DCC Wokha thanked the Wokha district administration, police department, apex civil societies in the district and the well-wishers because of whose effort the captive was released in time.
