Longleng, February 22 (MExN): The Conservator of Forest (CF), for Northern Territorial Circle (NTC), Rongsenlemla Imchen (IFS) visited Longleng Forest Division for review meeting about the functioning of Nagaland Forest Management Project (NFMP), under Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) on February 20 and 21. She also visited the Batch-III, Yachem village for inspection, stated a DIPR report.
During the review meeting, Rongsenlemla Imchen appreciated the Longleng Forest Division under the guidance of H Tokugha Chophy, DFO cum DMU Head Longleng for executing the work well. She expressed her gratitude and profound happiness in learning that much of Entry Point Activity (EPA) and Water Harvesting Structure (WHS) were constructed in convergence with other Government Departments and Village Councils.
While at Yachem village, she encouraged the Joint Forest Management Committee (JFMC) and Self Help Groups (SHGs) to perform their roles sincerely so that Batch-III, Yachem Village could be a model village.
Earlier, during the review meeting, H Tokugha Chophy, DFO cum DMU Head Longleng delivered welcome address after which PPT presentations were done by Ailong Phom, ACF cum ADMU Head Longleng and Bedangmongba Ao, Deputy Ranger cum FMU Head, Sitap Range, FNGO Team Leader and DMU Support Staff.
At Batch-III, Yachem village, Rongsenlemla Imchen held a consultative meeting with JFMC and SHGs of the village, and later inspected the nursery plantation, Jhum Agro Forestry (JAF- 1) and JAF-2.
