Longleng, November 9 (MExN): The lunching programme for construction of RCC bridge at Dikhu River Longleng-Chuchuyimlang Mokokchung road was held with MLA 22 A/C Arkakong Mokokchung, Nuklutoshi and MLA 50 A/C Longleng A Pongshi Phom, at the bridge point Mongtikang village Longleng on November 8.
A DIPR report stated that MLA Nuklutoshi in his address encouraged the gathering not to talk about different communities or political parties rather to coordinate together and talk about developmental works which is more important. Further he stated that the people of Longleng are fortunate to have Pongshi as their MLA who loves and works for his people. He also assured that within their tenure the two hydro projects will be completed, the council road will be cleared which in future will tackle the unemployment issues in the region and create more job opportunities. With the completion of the project the spot will be a tourist attraction and generate revenues and where local business will flourish and many other avenues will turn up.
Speaking at the programme, MLA, A Pongshi speaking thanked his colleagues for making the event possible. He stated that the idea to implement the project was possible only with the cooperation of Nuklutoshi, who provided support, ideas and logistics.
He also gave his words of appreciation for our Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio for his trust and approving the project. He highlighted that without proper road connectivity and proper bridge any developmental works are impossible. He further encouraged the locality to bear with the inconveniences during the time of work and also lend a helping hand in times of trouble until the work is completed.
Short speeches was also delivered by President Langpangkong Tsukong Mongtang, N Watitoshi, President PPC YB Angam Phom, EE PWD (R&B) Longleng S Toshi Angh, Pukyung Phom, P/Leader, Chairman Village Council Chuchuyimlang, Chairman village Council Hukphang, Chairman Village Council Salulamang, and Chairman Village Council Mongtikang.
Earlier, welcome address was given by chairman village council Pongching and invocation was pronounced by Pastor Namching Baptist Church and the programme was chaired by, Pangshom Phom.
