Wokha, July 29 (MExN): A consultative meeting to deliberate in the Intensive Revision of Electoral Rolls for Wokha Town Council was held on July 29 at the Conference Hall, DC Office, Wokha.
The revision is scheduled to begin from August 3, a press release informed on Friday.
Additional Deputy Commissioner K Furhesie Nyuwi chaired the meeting which was attended by leaders and representatives from political parties, chairpersons, GBs and representatives from wards and colonies as well as stakeholders under WTC, it said.
During the meeting, it was informed that the revision of electoral rolls would be prepared for all the wards under WTC and taken up with reference to January 1, 2022 as the qualifying date. The members also deliberated on demarcation of polling station areas under various wards.
