Kohima, February 2 (MExN): In view of the upcoming Nagaland Olympic & Paralympics Games 2024 scheduled to be held at Dimapur from February 13 to 17, a consultative meeting was held at the office Chamber of the Deputy Commissioner, Kohima on February 2.
The meeting was held with the Kohima District Sports Council, Chef-de-Mission, Deputy Chef-de-Mission, and President and representatives of various disciplines participating in the games, stated a DIPR report.
DC Kohima, Kumar Ramnikant IAS briefing the representative said the Administration as well as the District Sports Council will extend full support to the players and their teams and was hopeful that the participants and the players reach their highest potential in their respective discipline.
The DC Kohima also accepted the suggestions of the organisation, to request the NOA to reschedule the date and month in the coming years, since this Olympics coincides with their board examinations.
Further, the DC also handed over the ‘preparatory funds’ to the different representative and further stated that “there will be complete transparency in all the transactions.”
