CHÜMOUKEDIMA, DECEMBER 29 (MExN): The Cooch Behar Trophy Final Match (Plate Group) between Nagaland and Meghalaya kick-off today at Nagaland Cricket Stadium, Sovima.
Nagaland after having won the toss and elected to bat first had a shaky start as they lost both of their openers in quick succession without a score on the board.
Yugandhar Singh (captain) knock of 55 runs and Seyievizo Zaputou (vice captain) unbeaten knock of 77 runs steadied the Nagaland innings. After the fall of the Singh, Nagaland managed to keep building partnerships. Samir Ali with 48 runs and Thechamo Odyuo 27 runs played a vital role before Thechamo was run out towards the end of the day’s match. At Stumps Day-1, Nagaland was 252/7. Day-2 of the final match will resume on December 30 from 8:30 AM onwards.
