Cooch Behar Trophy: Nagaland squander early lead;-2; match equally poised

Dimapur, January 19 (MExN): Nagaland today faltered in the second innings of their Cooch Behar Trophy (2019-20) encounter against Manipur at James Long Stadium, Kolkata.


On Day -2, Nagaland were all out for 185 in 52.1 overs, and could not consolidate the 111-runs the team enjoyed in the 1st innings. 


At stumps on Day-2, Manipur, however, were also struggling for 45/3 in 12 overs, making the match equally poised, with two days of play remaining.  


Manipur still need 252 run to win the match, with 7 wickets in hand.   


Earlier, winning the toss and choosing to field, Manipur restricted Nagaland to 1st innings total of 214 runs. 


In reply, Manipur could manage only 103 runs in 35 overs, thus trailing their opponents by 111 runs in the first innings.
