Longleng, March 29 (MExN): As part of the ongoing activities with the celebration of Poshan Pakhwada, the Department of Social Welfare, Longleng organised a cooking and baby show competition, under ICDS project, at CDPO Office Longleng on March 29.
SDO (C) Longleng, Trongdipa Tongpi Sangtam graced the event as special guest, a DIPR report stated. Sangtam shared on proper nutrition and emphasized on the importance of organic food which are locally available for consumption asked the gathering to give importance on the organic crops locally available.
He also gave away the prize to the winners of baby show competition where Baulung Angh came first and Owlung S Phom and Metmei came second and third respectively.
In the cooking competition, all 11 wards under Longleng, participated in the competition where Shauli ward came first, both Lempong and Nyengching ward came in second and Shayung ward came third. The judges of the cooking competition were SDO (C), Trongdipa Tongpi Sangtam; BPM, NSRLM, P Hamlen and Area Coordinator NSRLM, Alemla.
CDPO Longleng, Atsole Khalo, delivered the keynote address and presentation. Vote of thanks was delivered by Supervisor, L Shamdok Menlei Phom. The programme was chaired by District Co-Ordinator Poshan Abhiyaan, S Longhong Phom.
