Minister Jacob Zhimomi inspected the ongoing construction of the new Cooperation Department Directorate Building at Pheregei, Meriema, Kohima on October 5.
Kohima, October 5 (MExN): The new Cooperation Department Directorate Building outstanding liabilities amount to Rs 872.00 lakh. This was highlighted to the Minister for PHED & Cooperation, Jacob Zhimomi today.
Jacob undertook an inspection of the ongoing construction of the new Cooperation Department Directorate Building at Pheregei, Meriema, Kohima, in the presence of the Cooperation Department officials, NPWD engineers, and Contractors.
An update received here stated that the Minister was apprised of the outstanding liabilities of Rs 872.00 lakh which needs to be cleared to complete the building. He directed the NPWD engineers to actively supervise the construction by giving personal attention. The Minister reviewed the progress of the on-going work which is nearing completion.
Mention may be made the construction which was initiated in 2012 is yet to be completed.
After the inspection, the Minister took stock of the various issues and directed the concerned agencies and the contractor firm M/s Vilelie Khamo to complete the construction and to plan for inauguration within November 2023 itself as the project has been delayed considerably.
