Longleng, September 13 (MExN): Two registered societies in Longleng received cooperative marketing pickup vans financed under Integrated Cooperative Development Project (ICDP) 2020-2021 on September 13.
The beneficiaries of the pickup trucks were Yachem village Integrated Multipurpose Cooperative Society Ltd and Mongtikang Village Integrated Multipurpose Cooperative Society Ltd, a DIPR report informed on Monday.
The office of the Assistant Register of Cooperative Societies (ARCS) Longleng held the launching programme for the pickup vans during which Longleng Deputy Commissioner and Chairperson DLCC, ICDP M Shayung Phom was the special guest.
As per the DIPR report, DC Phom acknowledged the department for providing financial assistance to farmers living in rural areas in order to economically uplift them. Advising the beneficiary societies to make good use of the vehicles and repay their loans on time, he urged them to work together for the progress and expansion of the societies and set a good example for other cooperative societies.
