Dimapur, November 27 (MExN): The annual ‘parting social’ of Cornerstone Hr Sec School (CSHSS), Duncan Basti, Dimapur was held on November 25 at the school auditorium with renowned artist Alobo Naga as the special guest.
The programme started with invocation by W. Achila, Asst. Teacher. Lucy of class IX gave speech on behalf of the student community, while the class XII students presented a farewell song and Chantimo gave speech on behalf of outgoing students.
Welcoming the gathering, Sentisangla Imsong, Principal of Cornerstone Hr Sec School & College said “it is undeniable fact that our experiences whether they be at home, school or elsewhere impact on who we are and who we will become.” She hoped that the experiences, opportunities and the friendships gained in the school will allow the students to be the driving force and source of immense support for them to make a difference in the world, according to a press release from Media Cell, CSHSS.
She encouraged each student as they leave to take up life’s journey to always remain open to exploring and nurturing in all aspects. She also implored upon the students to take the values they have witnessed at school. The principal also encouraged the students to go with an aim to not only maintain the proud history the past students have created but more importantly set about creating own history, setting own benchmarks by living life to the fullest.
Meanwhile, Alobo Naga encouraged the students to listen to his hearts and become the best version of whatever they wish. He stated that there are no shortcuts in life and brought up his own story.
This was followed by a farewell regale.
