Corrupted Officials: We are watching you

Anguzo Peseyie: With all the election fever that's spreading across the state and the blog, let me take you elsewhere. A very embarrassing incident happened yesterday. I went to the Tax Dept yesterday to get some forms and to submit some details. At first I was glad to hear that the superintendent was there and I could get my job done. And yes my fee for the forms and the road permits came up to Rs.600/-. What was embarrassing was when the superintendent demanded Rs.1000/- for her petrol fare as well. All she did was just sign, I would have gladly given the thousand to the others who did all the running without them asking but her saying 'I wont be present tomorrow or day after and give a thousand bucks'. Does this happen to all? Isn't the Government supposed to work for the people instead of looting them? How can such a person be the superintendent of Taxes? Whether I have the right information or not, I am sure this incident is one of the few 'looting the civilians'. Even some of the staffs weren't happy about it "Who would be?"I wonder if any steps are being taken? As for me I would not encourage such people to run the state. It’s about time we remove these corrupted minds and acts from our society. Be it any stature, a corrupted mind can never run the society. Now I leave this post for my fellow bloggers to share your opinions, incidents etc. There was one kind lady who helped a lot though. She spoke in broken Angami and even did not charge for the forms.

Yanpvuo Kikon: Thank you for raising this, now we need to find out the ways to penalize the shameless official. The previous bribery case cited by our Konyak brother some few days earlier from Welfare Department was also a Naga lady, really sad that this too another aunty. What kind of mothers would they make? Mothers are responsible for teaching moral values & principles to their children. They will beget a generation of greedy and corrupted minds.

Pete Pepe Venuh: This matter should be surely brought at the limelight for the whole public notice instead of dodging it. Not only that lady but there's a whole lot of officials who do that. They are to serve as a boon for people and not to loot them. Many a times we neglect this matter regarding it as "Sob manu enika hi kurae", which is a fault on our part. We're like encouraging it but if we stand against it. I pray and hope that a vigilant awareness would be put up on this matter! Gosh, money has made man bonkers!

Toshi Ao: 1. We file a complaint to the police to book the accused under Section 7 of Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988. If we do this, the State will be the party against the accused and our bro will be the state evidence.

2. Write to the Commissioner of Taxes, Govt. of Nagaland to conduct an inquiry and take actions in accordance with the Service Rules.

Peter Rutsa: Don't worry, she is already neck deep in sh*t whether her Dept and Vigilance Dept does something about her or not.

A cry for help from Naga Patients in Dibrughar

Lotsuo Magh: I (Mr.Lotsuo Magh, President,NSUD) on behalf of Nagas and NAGA STUDENT UNION DIBRUGARH, ASSAM. would like to draw the attention of naga people by these few caption of our recent NAGA PATIENT HOUSE which was established in the year of 1971, which has been serving and giving shelter to hundred of thousand of Naga patients, Medical scholars, Reseachers, NCF and etc. for more than three decades has been turn to garage by so called a local contractor(Shri.Khan) of the local inhabitant (Paltan Bazaar,Dibrughar, Assam) which he claim to own this plot of land due to non-payment of his bill by Naga contractor through P.W.D(HOUSING), Govt. of Nagaland. Whereas we, NSUD approach to the office of Executive Engineer, PWD(HOUSING) verbally and written to look after the matter at earliest on the date of 12-11-12, but still no response and action has been made so far which the patients are facing a problem to stay, moreover the 80% of the patients are Villagers which they face a problem to afford in the private hotel for the said duration of treatment, where according to the tally every two-three days one patient used to admit in AMC(Assam Medical College) or other private hospital. So our point is why the Govt. just neglecting one of the most important and the only house in Dibrugarh for the people of Naga. So, we beg to the rightful Naga people to look on this matter.

The land belong to the govt. but to go through all those said step is not easy, we met him(Shri.Khan) thrice personally for the reason, but we are helpless because we don’t have any evidence prove document which are with the govt. and the Naga contractor, although we ask verification and clearance to the office of Executive Engineer verbally and by written but they turn deaf on our call. This is the reason why we are paralyzed now.

Apulo Puloto Assumi: This is the only Nagaland house in Dibrugarh Assam . Shall we let someone simply take it off from us??NO way!! We the People, we the Nagas, we the Govt. must fight against it. WHERE DOES OUR FUTURE LIE? If we just neglect and ignore our Rights. Lets join our hands together unite together my dear brothers and sisters. I urge the Govt. authorities to kindly look towards this matter as early as possible as the patients are helpless with nowhere to go and the so called NAGA HOUSE is just about to get snatched away by an outsider.
